My oldest daughter Bethany bought a puppy three years ago thinking that she had failed (for the third time) to get into grad school. It turns out she got into a program unexpectedly (Masters in Nursing-Nurse Practitioner). So while in grad school she was raising this puppy, Tucker. She has a close friend (Lynn Horrigan) who was influential in getting Bethany interested in Agility Training for her new pup. Bethany bought in and attended training classes every Wednesday for the last three years and has been competing for the last year or so.
A Siberian Husky, Tucker has taken to the sport and has won multiple Blue Ribbons. Huskies are not very common in the sport because of their independent streak and therefore not wanting to stay on point. Bethany/Tucker did well in this most recent event. Coincidentally, Bethany will graduate from her Nurse Practitioner Program with honors on Wednesday May 9th.
